Just minutes before 2pm today, Member for Vanimo Green, Belden Namah, accompanied by Police and Military personals entered court room 3 at Waigani Court House, whilst the Chief Justice was presiding over a case, and attempted to arrest him. Reporters were ordered out of the court house, whilst police and defence officers began a search for CJ who managed to escape. According to Mr Namah, the Chief Justice will be charged for treason and sedition. Right now, all staff at the National/Supreme Court are standing outside their officers, as the Registrar has also been arrested and has been ordered to locate the Chief Justice.
Currently word is that the Chief Justice is holed up in his Chambers with, his Lawyer negotiating between him and the Troops. There is also heavy police presence around the court house, with media and public told keep away and no photographs.

Around 4 pm the Chief Justice, The regsitrar of National and Supreme Court, and Justices Kirriwom and Nanua, have surrandered to Police and are now meeting with them....the Whole area around the court house is sealed off with no media allowed in.
