NAMAH TAKES THE LEAD AS PRIMARY COUNTING WINDS DOWN

Leader of PNG Party and sitting member for Vanimo Green River Electorate, Belden Namah has taken over the lead.
With more than 60% of the primary vote counted, Mr Namah has moved up to first spot after count 50 last night.
As of 4:00pm yesterday afternoon after count 56 for the Vanimo Green River Seat; Belden Namah, PNG Party Candidate is leading with 3,507 votes followed byWillie Inaru, an Independent with 3,247 votes, and running in third place is an Independent candidate Tradggy Warami with 2,199.
So far informal votes for Vanimo Green are 802 after count 66.
Meanwhile, as of count 56 yesterday afternoon for the West Sepik Provincial Seat; THE Party Candidate, Amkap Mai is in the lead with 10,144 votes followed by John Tekwei of Indigenous People’s Party with 4388, and Rex Tawian an Our Development Party Candidate with 3,623 votes.
