While the illegal government of O'Neill was still trying to muster the numbers to reconvene Parliament this week, Sir Michael and his National Alliance team began last Monday with their election campaign.
Sir Michael witnessed the nomination of Sir Arnold Amet for Madang Provincial and Gabriel Saul, Madang Open in Madang last Monday.
They then proceeded to Bates Oval in the heart of Madang for a short rally.
NA member for Middle Ramu Ben Semri accompanied the two sitting MPs while their intending candidates for Madang, Gabriel Saul and Sumkar, Mark Kadum Martin were also present.
After nominating in Wewak on Wednesday afternoon, Sir Michael travelled out the following day to Maprik, Aitape and Yangoru for the nomination and promotion of his candidates John Simon, Patrick Pruaitch and Peter Wararu respectively.
The overarching message at the rallies was that the National Alliance led government has over two terms laid the foundations for continued growth, created stability and managed well PNG's finances. NA promises from 2012 to
2017 delivery through integrity and stability, within the parameters of process and the rule of law.
Sir Michael informed the crowds of the battle since 2 August 2011 to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law.
He thanked the East Sepik people for this important court reference on section 19 that led to the Constitution remaining supreme as the rogue regime continues to undermine all processes to stay in power.
Sir Michael said, "Never before have any members of parliament acted above the law by questioning the integrity of any Chief Justice of this country for political gains.
"Peter O'Neill has continually and publicly lied to Papua New Guinea and we must not allow him or Belden Namah to undermine the separation of powers and the independence of the judiciary that underpin our democracy."
In Aitape, Sir Michael told the crowd that the Bible is from God and our Constitution is the law that governs our conduct in all aspects of our lives in PNG.
He explained to people of Aitape, Maprik and Yangoru about the immoral and illegal conduct of the O'Neill/Namah regime in trying to reconvene parliament after it has finally risen for this eighth term and their attempt to arrest the Chief Justice, Sir Salamo Injia.
Sir Michael said, "Their actions are indicative of what they are will do if we the people of Papua New Guinea reelect them to office."
Sir Michael told the crowds that he will not be here for much longer but wanted good leadership in place, after the elections, that respects authority and the law so our democracy is intact and can prevail.
